Putco Road Safety Campaign Kicks Off
This week the Putco Pedestrian Safety Campaign begins in earnest with the main objective of reducing road deaths. Nearly 2000 pedestrians are killed on South African roads every year. Putco bus drivers have also had challenges with people who cross the road when and where it is not safe to do; from jaywalking pedestrians to distracted cellphone users, resulting in injuries or death. We appeal to all citizens to be alert and help to keep the roads safe. Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. One death is one too many. Your safety is our priority.
